Our Core Beliefs

There is only One True God — the God of the Bible. The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent I AM, the Creator of the universe, and the Redeemer of mankind.

The Bible — both Old and New Testaments — is the inspired and infallible Word of God and the revealed will of God. The Word is the ultimate foundation of our ministry.

Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to God the Father. Jesus is divine, the deity of God, sent by the Father for the redemption of mankind.

Due to the disobedience and rebellion of Adam, sin and death came into the world. This death is both physical and spiritual.

The blood of Jesus shed on the Cross is the gift of salvation given to man for redemption. By His grace, through faith, we are made right with God.

Those who repent and believe in Jesus are to be baptized. Baptism is a declaration that you have died with Christ and been raised with Him as a new creature.

We partake in Holy Communion as instructed by Jesus — doing this as a remembrance of Him, proclaiming His death until He comes.

The Baptism and Gifts of the Holy Spirit empower the believer to walk out the commission of Christ — including speaking and praying in tongues to edify the believer and the body of Christ.

Prayer is essential and necessary. Prayer and the Word are the true foundations of VHOPP. Praying for and about everything is our motto — we are a house of prayer first.

Inner Healing and Deliverance is one of the core callings of our ministry. Jesus commanded it — heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons, raise the dead. We believe in getting to the root cause — dealing with inner healing first, then casting out demons. It is the Word that makes you free.

Marriage is a covenant created by God for one man and one woman. We believe God intends sexual intimacy only between a husband and wife. Any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God.

Praise and worship are the whole purpose of man — to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We believe in worshiping God with one’s total being as set forth in the Holy Scriptures.
